Fingers crossed that the only thing on its way this spring is warmer weather. There are some things to inspect around your home as winter fades away. Do a quick inspection inside your house after you turn on your hose bibs for the first time, so you can catch any leaks before they cause major damage. Also, keep an eye on your water bill for a broken pipe in your water service. If the break is under concrete or buried deep enough, it may be weeks or months before you notice the yard is soggy while a larger than normal water bill may allow you to identify the break quicker. Educate yourself on what to look for and stop any leaks before they can use up your summer vacation funds.

March 11, 2018 marks the ninth year celebrating World Plumbing Day. This day commemorates the vital role plumbers play in protecting the public’s health and safety. Take a moment to think about how blessed we are to have indoor plumbing and clean water on demand, something not everyone on our planet enjoys. We would like to take a moment to let our plumbers know how grateful we are to have such a hardworking and talented team!

Spring is around the corner, but winter hasn’t given up yet! Remember to keep your foundation vents closed and the heat on to your home to avoid frozen pipes and unwanted damage. Even when the weather seems to be warming, be prepared. Central Oregon is notorious for surprising us with a sudden cold snap any time of year!

The Old Mill area is adding some exciting new stores and restaurants in the old Box Factory, and we are happy to be a part of the renovation. Our plumbers are doing a fantastic job, and we couldn’t be more proud of them. Foxtail Bakery, Fix and Repeat, and River Pig Saloon will be here soon. We’ll keep you posted!

Did you get a new puppy for Christmas, or do you already have a four-legged member of your family? Is bathing them less than ideal? If you have the room, you could add a dog-washing station. There are a variety of tubs, basins, and custom bath stalls that can be put in to accommodate your furry friend. There are counter-height basins for small dogs, so you don’t strain your back, or a walk-in stall for a large dog that you don’t want to struggle lifting. In addition to adding convenient shelving and design elements to make grabbing their shampoo and towels a breeze, a handheld sprayhead is a must. Whether you create a space solely for your canine companion or plan a multi-use area, a dog wash station can help ease the chore of keeping fido clean!
